Here we list some of the most common questions we hear and their answers. If you have a question that you don't see listed below, feel free to submit yours to support@shiftworks.com. 

 

 

SECTION 1 — Ordering & Payments

How can I pay for my order?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards.

Can I order something custom?

Yes. We offer custom configurations and specialty components for many applications. Contact our sales or technical support team with your requirements, and we’ll confirm pricing, compatibility, and lead time.

What happens if the product I want is on backorder?

If an item is on backorder, we will notify you with the expected restock date. You may choose to:

  • keep your order open,
  • switch to an alternative option, or
  • cancel for a full refund.

We provide updates as new information becomes available.

How can I cancel my order?

Contact our support team as soon as possible. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, it can usually be canceled immediately. Orders that have already shipped must be processed through our return policy.

SECTION 2 — Shipping & Delivery


How do I track my shipment?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a tracking number and link so you can monitor delivery progress in real time.

What if my package is damaged?

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Take clear photos of the damage.
  2. Keep the packaging and damaged item.
  3. Contact us right away.

We will file a claim with the carrier and arrange a replacement when applicable.

What if my package is missing something?

If an item or component is missing:

  • Contact customer support with your order number.
  • We will verify the packing list.
  • Any missing parts will be shipped promptly at no cost to you.

What’s your turnaround time?

For in-stock items, orders typically ship same day if ordered before 2:30PM EST. If you order after 2:30PM EST your order will ship the following day. Any order placed after 2:30 PM EST Thurday will ship the following Monday morning. We are here Monday-Thursday.

Custom, specialty, or backordered items may require additional production or processing time, which we’ll communicate clearly at checkout or via email.

What is your return policy?

Most new, unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days.
Custom or made-to-order items may not be eligible for return. Please contact customer service or review the complete return policy before sending anything back.

Yes. Our support team is available via phone, email, or the contact form on our website. We assist with:

  • installation guidance
  • troubleshooting and adjustments

How do I install or access the product?

Most items include installation instructions in the package or via downloadable documentation. If instructions were missing or unclear, our support team can provide digital copies or step-by-step assistance.

Are tutorials or documentation available?

Yes. We offer installation guides, diagrams, troubleshooting documents, and video tutorials for many products. These resources are available on our website under the Support or Documentation section.

Do you carry conversion kits or linkages for my column shifter?

Yes. We carry a range of column-shifter conversion kits and linkage options for many vehicle makes and models. Please provide your vehicle’s year, make, model, and transmission type so we can confirm compatibility.

My new shifter or conversion does not have enough detents—what should I do?

If your shifter does not align with the proper number of detents, it typically means the linkage needs adjustment.

  • Review the installation instructions for alignment steps.
  • Verify that the transmission and shifter both cycle through the same number of gear positions.
  • If issues persist, contact our technical support team for calibration assistance.
