Overview

This NEW re-designed Shiftworks® floor shifter has been designed to properly function with whatever automatic GM transmission you decide to use in your Corvette. The handle and knob have been designed to resemble that used in the C1 Corvettes but with the use of the pre-bent mounting tabs, the shifter body can be mounted directly to the factory floor (*call before ordering if you have a modified tunnel, the universal-style black body was our old design and may be available upon special request). Shifter can also be paired with a 1965-67 lower automatic shifter boot for a factory seal (not currently available through Shiftworks, but may be soon!).

The shifter connects to the transmission with a provided rod linkage and the proper transmission lever is also included. The linkage provided utilizes right and left hand thread so you can make your final adjustments with a simple twist of the rod. We even install a new neutral safety / back up light switch and set it up so it's ready to simply wire into your car!

To Use with Powerglide Transmissions (Call to order)

Powerglide transmissions use a variety of Range Select Shafts.  The use of any console shifter requires the transmission be able to accept the proper Range Select Lever for that particular shifter and/or shaft.  Shiftworks® offers several products that allow you to make this connection regardless of what Powerglide you may have. *** For 6 or 8-Spd Automatics, know that you cannot mechanically select all 6 or 8 gears of your transmission with the shifter. The shift pattern of a 6L80E / 6L90E / 8L90E is P_R_N_D_M. The "M" position tells the transmission to look for an electronic input (ex. steering wheel paddle shifters / buttons) on how and when to shift up or down. Putting the shifter in "D" or "Drive" will allow the transmission to operate through all gears on it's own based on what the computer tells it to do.
