    Overview

This NEW Shiftworks floor shifter has been tediously designed to be a direct replacement for your factory C3 shifter and properly function with whatever GM transmission you decide to use in your vehicle. The shifter body has been crafted from quality STAINLESS STEEL to fit just like the original and utilizes the original mounting bolts.

This 1977-82 version includes an actuator for the console indicator pointer. The 3 & 4-spd versions include 2 different actuator attachments. One attachment will be for your factory 3-spd indicator and the other will be for the Shiftworks 4-spd OD indicator (part # S127-CV). The 6/8-spd shifter package will only include one actuator attachment that likely will be pre-installed on the shifter to be used with the Shiftworks 6/8-spd indicator (part # S127-06).

The shifter connects to the transmission with an included cable linkage. The cable mounts to the transmission with the provided pan bracket (case mounted on 6L80E, 6L90E, & 8L90E) and the correct length shift lever(s) is included as well. We even install the neutral safety / back up light switch and adjust it for you, so it's ready to simply wire into your car!

*** For REVERSE VALVE BODY transmissions, select the "Slap-Shift" option for proper operation. The Slap Shift feature has been designed to accommodate forward or reverse shift patterns of both 3 or 4-spd automatics.

*** For 6/8-Spd Automatics, know that you cannot mechanically select all individual forward gears of your transmission with the shifter. The 6L80E, 6L90E, & 8L90E's shift pattern is P_R_N_D_M. The "M" position tells the transmission to look for an electronic input (ex. steering wheel paddle shifters / buttons) on how and when to shift up or down. Putting the shifter in "D" or "Drive" will allow the transmission to operate through all gears on it's own based on what the computer tells it to do.
